Coeur d’Alene is named after the Coeur d’Alene People, a tribe of Native Americans who live along the river spanning from Eastern Washington to Montana and is the largest city in North Idaho. Some of its well-known attractions are the Coeur d’Alene Resort along with its floating boardwalk, fine dining, and luxury spa, water activities on Lake Coeur d’Alene, hiking in the nearby Tubbs Hill or Canfield Mountain, golfing, and more. It is centrally located to the freeway if you wish to travel to Spokane, Wash – which is about 30 minutes east – or continue west towards Montana.
